New Zealand Adventures

In September last year my sister and I spent just under two weeks driving around the North Island of New Zealand. While Napier - the Art Deco Capital - was gorgeous, Hobbiton was the definite high light. No small amount of fan-girling happened there.

Here are some poor quality snaps of some updates to my bedroom. The new bedspread is vastly different to anything else I've owned but I love it's brightness. I'm constantly swapping out the posters on my wardrobe and the dress hanging from the hook. It gives a new look with very little effort. 

I do hope to venture outside with my camera again soon, but for now returning to full time work has me well and truly pooped.

I really love fiddling with and adding to my bedroom. It's like curating your own personal gallery. I added a hook where I can show off new purchases or old favourites and have been expanding my picture wall.

The Eiffel tower painting I bought in Paris and the balloon painting I bought in Florence. The cat came from Savers.

Dejour Jeans

I feel I can officially call myself a Melbourne blogger now I have my own pair of Dejour jeans. My friend and I ventured to Brunswick (the other side of the city for us) and fell in love as soon as we walked in the door.

I don't often wear jeans because I struggle to find the super high waist I like. Dejour have high waist a plenty and alter on the spot if the length or waist are a bit off. I also grabbed a pair of super high shorts that I struggled to find anywhere else.

While there we actually spotted Stealth from The Lumineers who I saw live with my sister later that night. They were indescribably amazing, hands down the best live act I've seen. I snagged this singlet from the merchandise stand.

Diamond Valley

This past Sunday we celebrated my cousin's fifth birthday at a park in Melbourne's North-East. We took a trip on the miniature railway that runs on Sunday's. It was actually ridiculously fun and the scenery was gorgeous.

I've been really slack with my goal of taking more photos this year. But every time I do dust of my camera and use it I remember just how much I love it. Especially when it means documenting special family occasions such as this.
