Summers End

This whole thing looked a lot better in real life. Not that it's a great fashion statement any way. But now looking at them again I don't mind them so much. Most of the outtakes featured slumped shoulders and gomless faces which couldn' have helped. And it does show my excitement that it's the last day of Summer. I've had quite enough o this heat business thank you, give me knits, tights and layers please.

I've also started back at uni, which is terribly exciting because it's the final year of my degree. I'm sort of in the hopeful mindset that I'll start working full time and fun things like new cars and houses and independence will shower down upon me. It could happen.

Sweet Stripes

I bought this top on a whim, on sale at Target. It was a good whim because I've warn it a couple of times and loved it. Lately I've been leaning towards simple lines and classic shapes.

I don't often include my handbag in outfit photos. Mostly because I only cycle through three different bags, depending on where I am going. This one I use on non-uni days when my purse, diary, lip balm and sunnies are all I really need. And I'm pretty sure it was only about $3 from an op shop.

Blue Belle

This dress was my only purchase whilst we were on holidays, bar a Beatrix Potter tea tin from the local op shop. It's really comfortable and easy to wear and it makes my chest look amazing. When I went on line to suss out the brand though, I found it was Swedish and couldn't find any Australian stock lists. I guess Anglesea is just ahead of the curve.

Beach Side

Here are a few more pictures from our trip down the Great Ocean Road that I took with my phone.

I had heaps of fun with the panorama setting on the beach.

This lighthouse featured in an iconic Australian kids show, Round the Twist based on equally iconic kids books. I fan-girled a little.

Seafood is the only 'meat' I eat so I nearly died at this seafood restaurant on the waterfront in Lorne.

Great Escape

This week Reece and I went on a small getaway to the small sea side town Anglesea at the beginning of the Great Ocean Road.

It was bliss.

We took a couple of road trips to the surrounding towns, went fishing, ate great food and just generally relaxed. I even got a tan. Quite an achievement for an albino.

Wedding Bells

This past Friday I had the pleasure of sitting in the front row and watching Reece stand proudly next to his brother as he wed his wonderful partner. Two more genuine, loving and beautiful people you are not likely to meet.

A touching ceremony (I cried like a baby) made way for what was more of a party than a reception. Good - albeit drunken - conversation continued well into the night. It was an all around fantastic wedding.

I wore a Review dress I snagged on sale with some vintage heels I nabbed from a local op shop for $1.50 a few years ago and a Forever new clutch. The ribbon in my hair originally tied around the waist of the dress.

I have never been happier that I lugged my camera along. Whilst there was an extremely talented photographer present I managed to snap a few candids that fill me with joy and take me right back to the moment.
